Lady Grady’s First Event held at Southport Golf Club

A stunning morning set the stage for Lady Grady’s inaugural event at Southport Golf Club. Despite ongoing major works resulting in a few shortened holes, the enjoyment and scores of the players remained unaffected.

This September event saw a lower turnout compared to previous years, primarily due to the District’s weather-delayed Foursomes being held at Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club. While it is unfortunate when event dates overlap, such scheduling conflicts are sometimes unavoidable, especially when weather intervenes.

Participants played a Texas Stableford, with an added highlight: Southport’s Golf Pro and Coach assisted players by teeing off on the Par 3 7th hole, helping boost scores. Special thanks go to Mitch for dedicating time and offering generous support to Lady Grady.

The raffle and 100 Boards were enthusiastically supported, and heartfelt thanks are extended to the members who donated prizes for these activities.

Above all, it is the ongoing support and generosity of our members that empower Lady Grady to make significant annual contributions to Down Syndrome Queensland. Thank you to everyone involved.
