What a ripper of a day we had at the first Lady Grady event of the year!

The sun came out .……eventually, the greens were immaculate, and spirits were high from the first tee-off to the final putt. It was a fantastic opportunity for golfers of all levels to come together, enjoy a bit of friendly competition, and soak up the atmosphere on one of the best courses in the region.

A huge thank you goes out to the incredible Hope Island staff who kept things running like clockwork all day. Their dedication and professionalism ensured that the event went off without a hitch and everyone felt welcome and supported.

No event would be complete without great food, and the catering team really delivered. The lunch provided was delicious and enjoyed by all, helping to make the day even more memorable.

It was our pleasure to welcome Michael and Brydon from Down Syndrome Queensland, along with Denice, Brydon’s mum, as our guests to accept our annual donation cheque.

Once again, this year we were proud to present an impressive $20,000 to support DSQ in their important work.

What a delight it was listening to Brydon tell us how DSQ helped him, and to hear that being happy was what he prioritised in life. His positive outlook and gratitude were truly uplifting for everyone present.

Without the generosity of our members and donors, we would not be able to continue our support of Down Syndrome Queensland. Your contributions make a real difference in the lives of so many people, and we are extremely grateful for your ongoing support.
